visit from the Belk-Guptas and other pics with Tita, Steph and Ann

The Belk-Guptas came to meet Dez and brought a fantastic picnic- so much fun.  Dez dressed up for the occasion in his monogramed shirt, polo undershirt and vans.

Dez is not going to be too happy about the bonnet, but it is too cute.

I am lucky to have 2 great sister in laws so close (what a treat to have Ann for a month live in MB!)

Drs. & Vaccinations - Oh My!

We went for Dez' 2 month visit last Friday.  He weighs 12 lbs 9 oz (the size of a turkey according to Paul).  He received his first vaccine :(

Then surfs in San Diego (he is in the car seat in the trunk (i am sure Child Protective Services wouldn't be too pleased) . . .

Plays some tennis (we have yet to be kicked off the courts) . . .

Runs the Manhattan Beach 10K (our t-shirts read "Paul & GP est 2007" on the front and on the back "Run Fat Boy" with a picture of Dez) . . .

Early October

Dez is growing so quickly!  we are savoring evey moment we are with him . . .He is big enough to put in pants!

And boy is he getting chunky!

With the weather cooling down, we needed to keep him warm . . .

The Stink Eye and Other Great September Moments

Dez' move is the pirate/stink eye- one eye closed and the other eye checking out the world.  This move is usually accompanied by a pirate grunt. 

This is his first seated pose- not a huge fan. 

After weeks of sleeping in his car seat in our bed between Paul and GP, we finally figured out that he can sleep in his cradle if he is swaddled (see next pic) tightly and placed on a sleep positioner that hugs him (thanks to the Grabhers for the sleep positioner!!)

this swaddler would drive me crazy, but works like a charm on Baby D!

this hands covering the ears is another Dez move- we think it means "will you people please shut up?"

this picture is just too cute.  Abuelita bought the lobster hat and matching socks in Boston- makes him all the more edible!
