Baby Dominic

We had pictures taken of baby Dominic and the photographer posted this as her favorite on her site.  Is it horrible that I didn't recognize my own son?  Stephanie brought this picture to my attention. 

Halloween 2011

Dez was a dinosaur for halloween this year.  he was so happy with his costume that he wore the hat to play tennis -

and then didn't want to wear the hat when it was halloween.  go figure.  paul and i were cavepeople.  we went trick or treating with Ali (strawberry shortcake) and Kat (one of the Yo Gaba Gaba characters).  unfortunately i don't have a picture of the 3 of them trick or treating (Nick/Steph, can you please send?).  Dez happily learned from the girls that a "trick or treat" and "happy halloween" was quickly followed with delicious treats. 

Rodents

Over the past week, Dez has turned from a sweet baby to a crazy boy! he loves swinging things (bats, brooms and other objects that can cause damage), loves throwing things- has a wicked aim (maybe he'll be a pitcher) and just running around. For some reason, he has become obsessed with Mickey Mouse- maybe it has to do with Steph's frequent visits to Disneyland with the kids??? For those who have not seen Steph's post on FB, please see below pic of Dez in the girl's hat. Dez refused to take off this hat for 24 hs as he was convinced it was "my mickey mouse"

Paul immediately bought him some "official mouse ears"- nothing but the best for his son!

and finally, to show us that he is truly into everything mouse, he actually picked up a dead mouse in an alley to show me what he had found.  he was puzzled why i screamed.  Um- i am still feeling queasy about that and feel a sudden urge to jump into a pool of anti-bacterial wash with Dez. Boys will be boys- as the saying goes . . .

Dez 19 months on Skis!

We are in Mammoth Lakes enjoying winter activities-  First time on skis for Dez at the ripe age of 19 months - he loved it! 

After we nordic ski, Dez jumps on Paul's skis and tries to mimic our movements.  So, yesterday, we put on boots and skis that were just his size- who knew they made em that small!

Vail- jet setting!

 We were invited to a friend's home in Vail via a flight on a 7 passenger jet.  we can get used to that kind of lifestyle!  this first pic shows Dez telling the pilot how to fly the plane-

the plane and 3 of the passengers and 1 of the 3 dogs - dez couldn't get enough of the "doggies!"

Paul and Dez couldn't be happier to fly private . . .
